Parque Nacional Sarigua

r

The Parque Nacional Sarigua is a man-made desert. It's a sobering reminder of the negative consequences of slash-and-burn agriculture.

More interestingly, in Sarigua we find archeological remains of the oldest known human settlement in Panamá: a fishing village more than 11,000 years old.

There is an elevated mirador near the ranger station where you can get the best views of the park.

Guests at Miami Mike's benefit from a discounted park admission!
